About Warming up the Homeless

Warming Up the Homeless is a registered frontline charity dedicated to supporting homeless individuals on the Southeast Coast, spanning from Hastings to Eastbourne and surrounding areas. Established in 2015, the charity has been unwavering in its mission to support those experiencing homelessness and advocate for systemic change.

The organisation collaborates closely with local authorities to identify housing solutions for individuals facing homelessness. With a dedicated team of over 380 members, primarily volunteers, Warming Up the Homeless diligently serves approximately 5,600 homeless individuals, including men, women, and children, on a monthly basis.

The core mission of Warming Up the Homeless is to alleviate poverty among street homeless individuals and rough sleepers. This is achieved by providing essential items such as sleeping bags, ground sheets, blankets, clothing, food, and toiletries. Additionally, the charity prioritises the overall welfare of individuals by offering emotional support and guidance, ensuring that everyone they encounter feels valued and connected to available services.
