Wave Community Bank’s Financial Wellbeing Support Officer — known to staff and members as “Money Tracy” — is attending this year’s UHSussex All Staff Conference, joined by Sid the Shark from the England Illegal Money Lending Team.
The conference is taking place at the City Coast Centre in Portslade on Thursday 23 and Friday 24 October, with the same agenda each day to enable more staff and volunteers to attend. Proudly supported by the My University Hospitals Sussex Charity, the event is designated as a working day, meaning attendees do not need to book leave.
This year’s theme, “Excellent Care Everywhere”, reflects the Trust’s five-year strategy and the role all staff play in delivering outstanding care in every area. The event features a marketplace of offers and opportunities, inspiring stories from colleagues, and a keynote from Dr Jo Salter MBE, Britain’s first female fast-jet pilot.
In the marketplace area, Money Tracy is representing Wave Community Bank’s Financial Wellbeing service, offering friendly, confidential guidance to help UHSussex staff feel more confident and supported with money. Sid the Shark is on hand to raise awareness of the dangers of illegal money lending and to highlight safe, ethical alternatives — including the Chorus Workplace Savings Scheme.
Money Tracy and Sid are joined at the conference by half of the Health and Wellbeing Team, along with Andy Heaps, stand-in Chief Executive, who stopped by the stand for photos and to show his support for the event.
